Hello! I am Cathy Clark, the owner of Comforts of Home Pet Sitting, and these are my dogs Scout & Tessa.
This is "Scout" & "Tessa" when they were still puppies. They are Miniature Schnauzers who came to live with us in 2006. They are best buddies.
This is "Scout" when he was younger.
This is "Tessa". She is adorable and feisty and quickly steals the hearts of all who meet her.
"Scout" loves to play fetch with his stuffed animals -- this one is his favorite!
Meet "Scamper" the bunny and "Huggy Bear" the prairie dog. Scamper has lived with us since 2003.
"Huggy Bear" the prairie dog came to live with us in 2009. He is the 2nd prairie to share my home and heart.
"Huggy Bear" loves to eat, and corn on the cob is one of his favorite foods.
Oat Hay is another of Huggy Bear's favorite foods.
9/2/03--This is a cute photo of Scamper when he was a baby bunny.

"Cricket" was the first prairie dog to steal my heart and share my home from 2006 to 2009.
July 2008--When two little girls released this supposedly mean hamster into the wilds of my mom's backyard, I rescued her and named her "Peanut".
"Luna" was one of my daughter's many hamsters.
One of my daughter's newly purchased hamsters gave birth to 7 (or was it 9?) babies a few weeks later. We had no idea that she was even pregnant -- surprise!
Dec. 2001--Now before you say that rats are icky -- just look at how cute and personable "Nibbles" was.
Dec. 2001--Nibbles liked to play between the layers of my husband's shirts. (Peekaboo!)
Dec. 2001--Nibbles was the most friendly and outgoing rat that you could ever imagine.
May 2002--This is my son with Chika the rat. Chika was not as friendly as Nibbles, but she kept Nibbles company in the cage. It is good for most pets to have other pet companions. I rarely own just one of anything for that reason.
Those carnival goldfish can grow quite large!
Jan. 1994--Chloe & Lillie (baby guinea pigs).
April 1988 -- Chelsy the Border Terrier at 7 weeks old! What a cutie!
Another cute photo of Chelsy. She sure makes that tennis ball look big!
1996--My children with Chelsy & Obo (my "fur-kids").
1998--Obo & Chelsy (10 year old Border Terriers). They were best buddies their whole lives. Two dogs are better than one!
May 1991 -- Oliver at 6 weeks.
1991--My daughter with Nikki.
1993--Oliver & Nikki grown up. They were sweet cats!
July 1985 -- I adopted Peewee (green) when his owner died. I captured Apollo (blue) in my backyard. Apparently he was an escaped pet, and I feared he would not survive long in the wild -- especially when winter arrived. We thought Peewee was a boy until Apollo arrived and Peewee started laying eggs!
I received mice from my husband one Valentine's Day. Their cage was like a little mini circus, and it was fun to watch them play!
Me and Koko (poodle) in April of 1982. Koko was my child before I had children.
Playing ball outside with Koko in Oct. of 1981.
1973--A much younger "me" with my best friend "Gigi" (black poodle) who I grew up with and my dad's bird dog "Sam".

I respect all living creatures and their right to share this planet with us. I believe each has a valuable place in the web of life and that all life is connected and sacred.
We have had personal experience raising dogs, cats, parakeets, hamsters, a gerbil, mice, rats, guinea pigs, a rabbit, fish and even prairie dogs! Cathy has been a full-time professional pet sitter since the end of 2009, and Mark has been a full-time professional pet sitter since 2012.
Cathy was lucky enough to work as a stay at home mom for 8 years while children were young. Cathy also worked as a legal secretary for approximately 22 years before starting this pet sitting business. Mark retired from the Army National Guard as a Major, and he holds both a teaching degree and an LPN degree. He prefers pet sitting (smile).
OUR PART-TIME SITTERS:
I was born in Indianapolis, but grew up in western Michigan, along the shores of Lake Michigan, and learned to love the outdoors at a very young age. I've always loved both the hot sun and snow. I was very active outdoors and spent my spare time with the family pets.
I moved back to Indianapolis after graduating from Ball State, and for the last 18 years, I've worked in media and sports entertainment as a freelance graphic designer.
Currently, I'm single and have no kids or pets, but I'm seriously considering welcoming a new puppy into my home! On summer days, you can often find me on the road in my Jeep Wrangler, with its top off, singing along to country music. I enjoy landscaping my yard, and talking antiques with anyone who has the same passion.
As a pet sitter, I understand how crucial it is to treat your furry friends like family--they ARE family! I will communicate and listen to your wants and needs, so that I'm able to provide the best possible care. It would be my pleasure to make sure you AND your pets have peace of mind while you're away!
I grew up in the small town of Seymour, IN and graduated from Ball State University with my Bachelor’s in Business Admin in 2016 where I met my husband, Austin. We purchased our first home together in Indianapolis about two years ago and we love it here.
In addition to pet sitting, I also work independently as an Esthetician at Project You located in downtown Seymour. I’ve always held a passion for skin and making others feel beautiful inside and out and wanted to share that with my small town community.
I have decided to begin pet sitting because I am a huge animal lover and enjoy being around them while also helping their owners. My husband also encouraged me to do this in the hopes of preventing me from constantly trying to get more cats and dogs of our own. So, I think this will be a win-win for all parties involved!
My family always had cats and dogs growing up for as long as I can remember. Each of them had such a huge impact on our lives and was so important to us. My husband and I now have two cats of our own, Oscar and Pharaoh. We absolutely love them dearly and spoil them rotten.
Austin and I enjoy traveling often and understand the stress of finding someone who is reliable, loves animals, and will give them the same level of love and attention. While you are away, whether it’s a week long vacation or a long day’s work, making sure your fur babies are well taken care of and happy is my number 1 priority. I hope to be your girl when it comes to putting your mind at ease knowing your babies are in good hands.
I’m very excited and look forward to meeting you and your pets!
I have been a Hoosier my whole life. I grew up in Carmel, graduated from IU many moons ago and now I am raising a family in McCordsville. I have been a stay at home mother for the last 8 years for our girls ages 8, 8, and 6. Our girls love anything animal-related and outdoors. We love hiking, creek stomping and camping. We have chosen to homeschool and love the freedom it allows us. It is a daily adventure in learning that keeps all of us on our toes. I love being able to take care of my family in this way, in this space and time.
My life has been blessed with cats, dogs, guinea pigs and horses over the years. We have always loved having pets in our home and part of our family’s daily living. After having our 18 year old doxy pair cross the rainbow in June, we welcomed a new puppy named Boo into our lives. He is a total joy. We are a dachshund family and just can’t live without one or two.
Petting sitting was attractive to me because it allows me to continue to stay in Mom-mode, just for some additional Fur children. I understand the trust it takes to open your home to someone and count on them to take care of someone precious to you. I take this responsibility seriously. I want to care for your pet in a way that keeps them safe and happy and you as worry-free as possible. It should feel like your pet just had a friend come by for social visit. Who doesn’t want to snag few extra snuggles and kisses during the day? (I will not be bringing my children when I visit your home.)
